St. Clair trustees meet

CALCUTTA — During Monday’s regular meeting, St. Clair Township trustees met briefly at township hall.
The board agreed to pass a resolution creating a fund for the American Rescue Plan money and amending their certificate to include such fund, containing $392,083.22 as well as paying $48,811.64 in bills.
Police Chief Brian McKenzie also reported on the August activity of his department. The communications division received a total of 1,039 calls with patrol responding to 79 and booking subjects on 19 and issuing 34 traffic citations.
In other action, trustees next will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 in the township administration building due to their regular meeting date falling on Columbus Day holiday.
