BWD seeks improved loan rate
WELLSVILLE — All members of the Buckeye Water District were at an 11-minute meeting Thursday morning in Wellsville village hall.
One piece of legislation, which would refinance the district’s Ohio U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development loans, was accepted. Through the move, the district will improve its interest rate from 4.5 percent to 2 percent for water system improvements.
During his report, District Manager Al DeAngelis explained that the Frederick Heights’ project is moving along nicely and will be bid out shortly, and the application for funding of the 20-inch waterline extension loop project has been completed by district for state water and wastewater infrastructure money.
The next BWD regular meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at the Wellsville council chambers, 1200 Main St.
