EAST LIVERPOOL — Investigators enlisted help from Columbiana County authorities and Wellsville police in their investigation of a May shooting of a city man.

According to Captain Detective Darin Morgan, law enforcement served a search warrant at around 10 a.m. Tuesday at 1301 Clover Avenue in Wellsville in conjunction with the death of Dion McMillon, 26.

A property search of the county auditor’s website says that the two family dwelling at 1301 Clover is owned by Kyong Cha Travers.

In addition to Wellsville police and the county sheriff, Morgan said the Columbiana County Special Response Team and Violent Task Force as well as the county prosecutor also assisted with the execution of the sealed warrant.

Authorities met no resistance and took no one in custody, despite collecting some unidentified items, he added.

McMillon was found deceased in his car, which was parked near Virginia and Mapletree streets, after East Liverpool police responded to investigate a shots fired call.

Morgan urges anyone who has information to offer into the McMillon investigation to call 330-385-1234 and have dispatch transfer the call to his extension. Tips may remain anonymous if the caller prefers.
