BWD board updated on projects

WELLSVILLE — The Buckeye Water District is putting the final touches on a few of its projects, its district manager said during a brief meeting last week at village hall.

Al DeAngelis told board members that the raw water feeder station had been installed, and all four pumps have been placed on pads and are waiting to be wired. The building’s roof is on and currently awaiting installation of steel roofing.

DeAngelis added that the 18 million gallon raw water reservoir is at its final level of water to be tested and will be able to used for its operations.

The manager also reported that contractors are continuing work on the raw water pump station, and currently installing the conduit. After testing the generator, it will be utilized once power is functional to the new pumps. Pumps 1 and 5 are still being installed.

Absent from Thursday’s meeting were trustees Richard Williams and Roy Dray.

The next regular meeting will be 9 a.m. March 8 in Wellsville council chambers.
