The Museum of Ceramics announced the winners in the fourth annual The Holiday Table contest and exhibit. Megan Hernandez won Best Holiday Table for her table, Hogwart’s Trolley Cart. Judy Fannin took Best of Show for Fowl Weather Picnic and Jennifer Bryan won Best Depiction of Local Pottery for the table, Christmas. Two awards were given for Most Creative; First Place went to Tiffany Thayer for Autumn Whimsy and Betsy Miller (not shown in photo) took Second Place for Hey Waiter, There’s a Hare in my Soup. Each winner received a pie baker donated by the Fiesta Tableware Company, a Giant Eagle gift card, donated by Heritage Thermal Services, a gift card for a pie donated by Frank’s Pastry Shop, and an apron and candle from the Museum of Ceramics’ The Clay Shop (gift shop). There are twenty tables in The Holiday Tale exhibit and they will remain on display until December 12. Museum staff added three additional holiday exhibits that includes a small teapot display, a display of a rare, turn of the century Homer Laughlin Christmas china, and Taylor, Smith, and Taylors’s The Twelve Days of Christmas.
