ELHSAA plans pasta dinner

The East Liverpool High School Alumni Association is sponsoring a drive-thru spaghetti dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. Cost is $10. The menu includes salad, roll and dessert. The spaghetti and meatballs will be prepared by Bob Ferello. Call for reservations at 330/385-0591 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30. Reservation deadline is noon Friday, Aug. 7.

Fawcett Community Foundation

The East Liverpool Fawcett Community Foundation is announcing that applications for funding grants will now be accepted. Those wishing to apply must use the Foundation’s website at TheFawcettFoundation.com (click on “apply for funding”). There are 15 questions in all on the application, which can be filled out in 15 to 20 minutes. The application deadline is Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. The ELFCF was launched in 1992 for the purpose of improving and revitalizing East Liverpool and the surrounding area, and supporting causes and groups which are devoted to the same. The foundation is run by an 11-member board of directors and four officers. Since its inception, the ELFCF has made awards of about $400,000. The foundation now has about $900,000 in investments. The annual Members and Directors meeting is set for Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 4 p.m. The meeting will be held at the 517 Broadway, 3rd floor offices of Jackman S. Vodrey, in downtown East Liverpool.

Paving set at Lisbon trailhead

The Columbiana County Park District announced that the Greenway trailhead at state Rout 164 in Lisbon will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week due to repaving of the parking lot. Parking is still available at the Erie Train Station on South Market.

Domestic violence art exhibit

The fifth annual Artisans Against Domestic Violence Art Exhibit, funded by Ozer Ministries and Columbiana County Job and Family Services, is scheduled for 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the East Palestine Country Club. This year’s theme is “Domestic Violence: Behind the Mask.” Submissions will be accepted through Sept. 1 and can be any art medium, such as painting, mixed media, conceptual art, sculpture, photography or make-up artistry. Photographs of submissions can be sent to artisansagainstdv@yahoo.com. For information call 330-426-2147.

Drive thru for school supplies

In celebration of National Health Center Week Aug. 9-15, the CAA’s Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Centers will host a back-to-school drive-thru from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 in the upper circle area near the CAA’s administrative building, 7880 Lincole Place, Lisbon. Some other CAA agencies will participate in handing out back-to-school items, including CAA’s Head Start.
