ODOT’s county projects still on schedule for now
LISBON — The Ohio Department of Transportation has $41.3 million in projects planned for Columbiana County this year, at least for now.
“At this time we are moving forward with project as we normally would,” said ODOT official Lauren Borelli. “As of right now it’s business as usual at ODOT.”
The largest of the 25 projects monetarily is the resurfacing of portions of state Route 45 (SR) south from U.S. Route 62/SR14 in Salem, merging with state Route 9, to McCracken Road in Salem Township. Work picks up again south of there but on SR 558 and continues to SR 46 just south of New Waterford.
The estimated cost is $5.5 million and work is supposed to begin May 1.
The following a list of the other road and bridge projects:
SR 11 from just south of the SR 344 exit to the Mahoning County line.
SR 172 from Stark County line to Hanoverton.
SR 11/U.S. 30, from just north of Rogers exit to SR 170 in Calcutta.
SR 7, from Wellsville to Jefferson County.
U.S. Route 30 at Wayne Bridge Road.
SR 45, just north of Wellsville.
SR 267, just north of East Liverpool.
SR 45, Wellsville.
U.S. 30, curve realignment between Hanoverton and state 172. That project was supposed to have begun but has been moved back several weeks because of the recent rains.
U.S. 30, improvements to the Carter Lumber intersection in Lisbon.
SR 7, bridge replacement in Columbiana.
SR 170 (North Market Street), safety/traffic control improvements in downtown East Palestine.
U.S. 30, new LED lights in East Liverpool
Columbiana, sidewalk improvements at Firestone Park
East Liverpool, brick pavers sidewalk and curbs on East Fourth Street.
East Liverpool, Elizabeth Street bridge.
Leetonia, Washington Street bridge.
East Palestine, new sidewalks on North, Walnut and East streets near the schools.
