Tucci selected Trooper of the Year
LISBON– Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Steven A. Tucci has been selected 2019 Trooper of the Year at the Lisbon post.
The selection of Tucci, 37, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2019 at the Lisbon post and Columbiana County. Fellow officers chose Tucci based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
Tucci joined highway patrol in 2011 as a member of the 151st academy class and was assigned to the Lisbon post upon graduation from the patrol academy. He is a graduate of Lowellville High School and graduated from Youngstown State with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
He was also selected as post trooper of the year in 2014 and was awarded his fitness ribbon with a star for his commitment to physical fitness along with his safe driving award for the last five years. Tucci served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Iraqi Freedom and is a crash reconstructionist for the division. He has dedicated several hours away from his family in order to complete his certification for his position and is dedicated to the citizens of Columbiana County and their safety.
Tucci and his wife Tiffani currently live in Poland with their two children, Dominic and Gabriella. He continues to put himself in a position to succeed, while contributing to a safer Ohio and shows that he cares about the community where he works and the mission of the Lisbon post and highway patrol.
