Biker killed on Route 14

UNITY — A 53-year-old Pennsylvania motorcyclist was killed after he wrecked while driving on state Route 14 on Sunday afternoon.

Harry Goldinger, 53, of Rochester, died after the 2000 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Class he was operating went off the left side of the road near McCloskey Road and struck a driveway embankment at 2:19 p.m., according to the local post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by the Columbiana County Coroner’s Office.

Goldinger was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation, but neither drugs or alcohol appear to be a factor. Assisting at the scene were the Columbiana Police Department and the New Waterford and East Palestine fire departments.
