Personnel changes for County commissioners
NEW CUMBERLAND–In Thursday’s meeting the Hancock County Commissioners reappointed both John Sorrenti and Bill Tice to the Northern Panhandle Workforce Investment Board of Directors.
Sorrenti and Tice will continue to represent the Private Business Sector of the board. Sorrenti will have a three year term running from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. Tice has a two year term running from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2021.
Commissioners also celebrated Patricia Dillon and her 28 years with the Circuit Court. Dillon is retiring from her position as Chief Deputy Clerk of the Hancock County Circuit Court and is going to work for the state under Judge Wilson. Sandy Casto is the new Chief Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court.
In other actions, the Commissioners:
–Approved the advertisement of two positions for the Hancock County Parks and Recreation Board. Both positions are for a full term ending June 30, 2022. One seat is open to members from any of the three county districts while the other seat must be filled by someone from the Clay district. –Approved the April 2019 Animal Shelter report and shelter expenses.
–Approved Charlotte Wentz, Alyssa Wolfe, Heather Hinerman and Jacob Eureka to be part-time employees for the Hancock County Animal Shelter. These positions will take effect May 24.
–Accepted the contract with Billy Pryor of General Contracting for the Hancock County Dog Park at Gas Valley Sports Complex.
–Approved April Manypenny Raines as a part-time assistant prosecutor. She will assume her duties on July 1 and will make 33,000 per year.
–Approved exoneration orders, general county bills and the levies for the Animal Shelter, Library and Sheltered Workshop.
