CALCUTTA — Tri State Ford on Saturday will host its annual Drive 4 UR School event at Beaver Local High School. Proceeds go to Beaver Local’s 2002 prom.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., people can test-drive a variety of Ford vehicles and for every test-drive taken, Ford Corporate will donate $20 to the school, for up to $6,000 in total.

“Hosting events like these is why we are proud of our slogan, ‘customer focused, community driven,'” said Don Maltarich, general manager at Tri State Ford. “Giving back to the community, especially the local schools, is very important to us.”

Last year, Tri State Ford hosted two Drive 4 UR School events, one for Beaver Local and one for East Liverpool. Their plan is to host an event for East Liverpool schools later this year.

“Rain or shine, we will still be holding our event to help benefit the school” Maltarich said.
