Township Yellow Creek leadership remains true

WELLSVILLE — Yellow Creek Township’s leadership will remain the same for 2019, although a couple changes were made at Tuesday’s reorganizational meeting.

The board approved Kenny Biacco to once again serve as the board’s chairman with Mark Allison as vice-chairman. Committee assignments also remained the same, as will the fire department representation remain with the Highlandtown and Wellsville volunteer fire departments, Highlandtown fire Chief Jeremiah Coles presented the township its contract renewing services for the next year.

In personnel, the board also approved the rehiring of road department employee Gerald Jackson, and gave him a $1 per hour pay raise, going from $18.50 per hour to $19.50. The board also changed its sick day and vacation policies. All vacation time will also be required to be used during the year, with no carryover to the next year and no payment of unused vacation time at the end of the year.

The board’s meeting will continue to be held at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
