Skin cancer screening clinic
The Columbiana County Health District will host its first skin cancer screening clinic of 2025 Wednesday, May 21, at the health district, located at 7360 state Route 45, Lisbon. Screenings will be by appointment only. There will be no charge for residents within the General Health District to receive skin cancer screenings. However, residents from Salem and East Liverpool cities, as well as those from outside Columbiana County, will be charged a $5 fee, payable in cash. Skin cancer remains the most common type of cancer, with one in five Americans developing it in their lifetime. Early detection is key, as most skin cancers can be treated effectively when caught early. Residents are encouraged to attend if they have suspicious lesions, such as a sore throat that does not heal, a mole or wart that has changed, changes in color pigmentation of the skin or any other skin abnormalities. To schedule an appointment for the screening clinic call 330-424-0272 Ext. 114.
