Hydrant flushing

EAST LIVERPOOL — Beginning the week of May 19, the East Liverpool Water Department will start its semi-annual hydrant flushing between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Flushing will be conducted in the following areas in approximate order: East End, Downtown, Northside area, outer St. Clair, West End, Gardendale, and Pleasant Heights. This will take approximately two weeks, precluding any other water breaks or emergencies.

Although customers may experience a temporary discoloration in their water and/or low pressure during this time, the water is safe to use without boiling. Customers are recommend to refrain from washing any white laundry while flushing is being conducted are in their area.
