East Liverpool High School has recognized senior Elise Montgomery as the Scholar of the Month in this month’s Potter Spotlight series. Elise is the daughter of Jon and Amy Montgomery.

A standout student and active member of the school community, Elise embodies the values of leadership, dedication, and academic excellence.

Throughout high school, Elise has been involved in a number of school activities, including the Booster Club, Outdoor Adventure Club, French Club, Culture Club, and the Keramos Yearbook Staff. A member of the National Honor Society and a recognized Merit Scholar, she has also been a three-year letterman on the tennis team and studied ballet for 12 years.

Her passion for aviation sets her apart — Elise earned her Private Pilot License in 2024 and is currently working toward her instrument and commercial ratings. She also works as a dispatcher at Aces Aviation and a testing proctor for PSI FAA exams, all while maintaining her academic and extracurricular commitments.

In addition to her school involvement, Elise gives back to the community through service with East Liverpool F.I.S.H. and has served as a Camp Fitch counselor in both 2022 and 2023.

After graduation, Elise plans to attend the James M. Johnson School of Aviation Sciences at CCBC, where she will pursue a degree in Advanced Piloting.
