Hot meal program begins Monday
EAST LIVERPOOL – The Community Resource Center (CRC), 940 Pennsylvania Ave, is expanding its efforts by launching a hot meal program beginning Monday. Meals will be available to-go on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Center Director Denise Taylor emphasizes the importance of this initiative, stating, “People Helping People is our mission, and folks in our communities are needing help with food security.” The meals are designed to not only provide nourishment but also incorporate food pantry staples, helping individuals learn how to create hearty meals from commonly available ingredients.
The upcoming menu includes:
Monday: Johnny Marzetti
Wednesday: Tuna Noodle Casserole
Friday: Pulled Pork
The program is made possible through the dedication of CRC employees Melissa Hornbeck and Tina George, as well as volunteers Denise Reynolds and Lindsey Smoot.
The Community Resource Center is in need of donations to sustain this effort, including containers, cutlery, snacks, and food supplies. Those interested in donating or volunteering can contact the CRC at 330-385-1301 or PeopleHelpingPeople940@gmail.com.
