Columbiana County Career and Technical Center October Student of the Month
Zachary Davis is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s October Student of the Month. Zach is a senior from Crestview High School enrolled in the Construction Technology (CT) Program under the instruction of Chris Schreffler.
Zach is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC. At Crestview, he is a member of the varsity baseball team. He also currently has a job working on a farm where he works with cattle.
Zach has earned certifications in OSHA-10, Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) – Career Connections Level 1, CITF – Career Connections Level 2 and by the end of his senior year will obtain his CITF – Career Connections Level 3 and Pre-Apprenticeship in Carpenters.
Upon graduation, Zach plans to join the carpenter’s union with his sights set on a career in carpentry. He would like to work hard every day to obtain the goal of owning his own home which he would like to build himself.
Zach stated, “The CCCTC was a good choice for me because it gave me the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the career I have chosen for my future.”
Zach was nominated by Schreffler, who stated, “Zachary is an exemplary student in the Construction Technology program at our high school. Not only is he a dedicated member of the Crestview baseball team, but he is also an extremely hard worker in the classroom and shop. Zach consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a willingness to go above and beyond on all his projects. His peers frequently remark on how helpful and collaborative Zach is during group work. He is always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, and ensure that the entire team is successful. Zach’s positive attitude and commitment to excellence make him a role model for other students in the program.”
Zach is the son of Mike and Lorraine Davis.
