The Gift of the Magi

MIDLAND, Pa. — Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland continues its 2024-2025 Clearview Federal Credit Union Subscription Series, Raise Your Voice! with the holiday story The Gift of the Magi in the BlackBox Theater three weekends — Dec. 6-8, 12-15, and 19-22.

It is Christmas in New York, and for two young lovers, Jim and Della, who are out of work and penniless, the prospects are bleak. This beautifully intimate one act adaptation of the O. Henry classic short story is a heartwarming holiday story that has persisted for close to 120 years, and an ardent reminder that true love is more important than money or possessions.

“We are excited to ring in the holiday with this beloved story of love and selflessness set in New York City during the Christmas season in the early 1900’s,” said Justin Fortunato, Producing Artistic Director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. “The holidays are one of our favorite times of year here at Lincoln Park and we are grateful to be sharing this beautiful production with our community.”
