Old-fashioned ice cream social
There will be an old-fashioned ice cream social as part of this month’s Village Comes Alive from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pioneer Village in Beaver Creek State Park. Sample the homemade ice cream, watch grain being ground in Gaston’s Mill and enjoy numerous other activities and demonstrations of pioneer life. There is no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted.
Ride for Colton
Ride for Colton will be held at 12:30 p.m. July 20 at Moose Lodge, 127 E. Third St., East Liverpool. Cost is $20 per bike/vehicle; registration starts at 10:30 a.m. The event will also feature live music.
Choose To Lose Group
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on July 9 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call. Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasure report. Both were approved as read.
Wanda Price was the Pearl’s biggest loser. Jean Ferrebee was the Diamonds biggest loser. Stephens and Fouse were tied for the officers biggest loser. Diamonds in leeway are Dottie Seevers, Jean Ferrebee, and Stephens. The no no’s are cookies and no eating after 7 p.m.
Ferrebee won the calorie charts, Carolyn Hager won the dimes. Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Tammy Heddelston, Price, Ferrebee, Seevers.
Perorazio gave the group information about Walking Challenge, How Far Can You Go In Six Minutes.
Perorazio closed the meeting with prayer requests followed by the Lord’s Prayer. New and former members are always welcome on Tuesdays. For more information call 330-383-8217.
