Book sale at Lepper Library
Lepper Library will have a Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept 17, the day before the Johnny Appleseed Festival officially begins. There will be a wide selection of adult, teen and children’s books; audios and DVDs. The prices are 50 cents for hardbacks, 25 cents for paperbacks, $1 for audios and DVDs, 25 cents for all children’s books and magazines are free with any purchase. Seats open on bus trip to Amish country
Jesus the Key Ministries still has a few openings on its bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., to Sight & Sound Theater to see “Queen Esther,” a live theatrical presentation, Dec. 8 and 9. The trip will depart from First Christian Church in Columbiana. The cost is $320. The first day include the Winter Wonder Land Concert at the American Music Theater followed by dinner at Good ‘N Plenty, voted as “Best Local PA Dutch Restaurant” for the last 17 years. After a good night’s rest and a hot breakfast, the trip is off to Amish Bakery and Quilt Shop for shopping and sightseeing. After the Sight & Sound experience of “Queen Esther,” participants will dine at Dienner’s Country Restaurant before leaving for home. Wellsville church to host steak dinner
Wellsville First Christian Church, 831 Main St., will hold a drive thru baked steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out Saturday. The menu consists of baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, coleslaw, rolls, and dessert. Cost is by donation.
