EAST LIVERPOOL — TOPS 2231 met on Feb. 11 at Always Best Care, 1324 St. Clair Ave. with leader Tonnie Slagle presiding. The meeting opened with the pledges and roll call.
Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer report: both were approved as read.
Stephens was the KOPS’ best loser and also the officer best loser.
The no-no’s are cookies and no eating after dinner.
Stephens won the calorie charts and the dimes. Anita Kukich won the 50/50.
Fouse has an article on “Slim Your Liver To Double Your Energy.”
Slagle closed the meeting with prayer request followed by the Lord’s Prayer. New and former members are always welcome on Tuesdays at 5 p.m.

ALIANCE — On Sunday, Feb. 9, a meeting was held at the home of Nancy Grey of Alliance.
Lunch was served by the President of Women’s Auxiliary, Cindy L. Hillard.
The camp commander Frank R. Hilliard conducted the meeting. President Lincoln’s Birthday on Feb. 12, was honored by singing happy birthday, also a poem was read, and history of Lincoln, and three balloons saying happy birthday were let go outside.
There is a Lincoln monument close to Amtrax station in Alliance.
It is said that the train stopped for him to go to a restaurant across the tracks, going or coming from Washington, D.C.
