North Elementary STEM Club partners with Code Ninjas
North Elementary STEM Club recently partnered with Code Ninjas (based in Wexford, PA) to offer its students an enrichment class into the topic of computer coding. This S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, math) workshop focused on teaching children, ranging from kindergarten through 4th grade, foundational skills into the world of computer coding.
East Liverpool Potters were given a demo into Scratch, a programming language developed by MIT University where North students learn about basic computer coding concepts to build their own video game. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.
