EAST LIVERPOOL — Emmanuel Presbyterian Church will celebrate the Second Sunday of Advent and their 110th Anniversary during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. David B. Kelly will reflect upon the history of the church and the life and music of Will L. Thompson. Special music will be performed by Dr. Robert Walker, David Kelly and Pat Will.

Wrapped nursing home gifts can be placed under the Christmas tree.

GLENMOOR — The Glenmoor ECO Presbyterian Church, state Route 267 (Lisbon St.) will celebrate the Second Sunday of Advent during the 11 a.m. service of worship. The Sunday School Christmas program will be at 9:15 a.m. followed by a brunch in the social hall.

Pastor Vel Vais’ topic is titled, “The Trailblazer” with the text from Mark 1:1-8.

Children’s Church and Nursery are provided during the service and the church is handicapped accessible.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Rev. John Bower will be the speaker during the 10 a.m. worship service at Grace Presbyterian Church, 535 Virginia Avenue. His sermon title will be “Christ’s Advent: Past & Future”. Children’s Sunday school is held during the service. The church is handicapped accessible.

CALCUTTA — Long’s Run Trinity Presbyterian Church will recognize the Second Sunday of Advent during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Sunday school for kids and adults at 9:30 a.m. The title of this week’s sermon is “Return to Our Baptism”. This message is based on scriptures from Matthew 3 and Isaiah 11. The children’s message will be presented by Cindy Hilliard, who also serves as the liturgist for this week. The anthem will be “Flute Gloria” played by Holly Pickens. Roger and Jo Sollick will light the Advent candles. Nursery is available for children in second grade and under during the service. The building is handicapped accessible.

CHESTER — The 2nd Sunday of Advent will be recognized during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 508 Indiana Avenue. Our Advent Video and the Lighting of the Advent Candle will begin the worship service. Rev. Trina Lewis’ message will be “Abounding in Hope,” and the Advent Choir will share the anthem “Take It to the Lord in Prayer”, including “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” and “Just a Little Talk with Jesus,” arranged by Joel Raney.
