NC Lions Meeting
NEW CUMBERLAND — President Joyce Young brought the meeting to order. Lion Dorothy Hawkes offered the prayer and Lion George Hawkes led the Pledge of Allegiance. President Young introduced the guests from Hancock County Savings Bank, Scott Lockhart, Jarret Gamble and John Carland. They offered information on how to prevent identity theft and scams that are moving through the area. They are available to present information to any group or organization in the area.
Communications were received: Leader Dogs program thanked the club for a donation and provided a patch for the club banner, LCIF sent a Melvin Jones Fellowship patch for the banner, and Arlington Wreath Project provided information on their project.
The financial audit will be done by Friday.
Lion Bob Manypenny noted that the set up for the River Fest is going well. Adopt-A-Highway is slated for Oct. 5 with a rain date of Oct. 12. Discussion ensued as to what to do for the RAP 2019-2020. This will continue at the Board meeting.
Weirton DG night is at Giovanni’s. Everyone welcome.
A Zone meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at Weirton Eat-N-Park.
