EAST LIVERPOOL — “How-to Butterfly Program”, takes place 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at the amphitheater in Beaver Creek State Park. The naturalist will share techniques on how to raise them on your own. Following the presentation, we’ll try our luck at catching and identifying butterflies around the area. Nets provided.
Honeybee Program is 11 a.m. for the valuable pollinators. Learn about honeybees and get to sample wild bee honey.
EAST LIVERPOOL — A Gretchen’s Lock Hike takes place 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Vondergreen Trailhead near the Group Camp at Sprucevale Road. Hike to the lock exploring the plants and wildlife along the way. Bring camera.
LISBON — Lepper Library in Lisbon will host Reed Kimball, Director of Education at the MAPS Air Museum in North Canton at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20. He will give a presentation on people that first dreamed about reaching the stars, some of the steps and missteps we have taken to get there, and where the dreamers envision we might go in the future. EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool Post Office is hosting the employee and retiree picnic from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Beaver Creek State Park, Echo Dell Road, in the Barn Pavilion. Water, chicken and table service provided. Bring covered dish, lawn chairs and old photos. Events include horseshoes, fishing, hiking, skipping stones and exploring Pioneer Village.
