EAST LIVERPOOL — A Sobriety Walk, hosted by House of Prayer, will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22 at Pavilion 1 in Thompson Park. Registration begins at 9. Guest speaker will be State Representative Timothy Ginter. Music and prizes.

NEWELL, W.Va. — A Genealogy Workshop will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Tri-State Genealogical and Historical Society, 717 Washington Street, Lower Level, Newell. The workshop is a hands on experience, designed to help beginners start their genealogy research and to help people currently researching their families with brick walls. It is a great time to share ideas on organizing your research, where to look for information, and finding hidden treasures. No charge to attend. A light lunch will be served.

n RICHMOND — Edison School District is sponsoring a Summer Recreation Program for those children entering grades 4-6, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the High School. Events include a variety of activities and game play in the gym and on the fields with District Teachers, Coaches and Student Athletes. It will also include some sport specific instruction options. Adult exercise and fitness will be offered on Wednesday evenings. Parents will need to fill out an emergency medical form on the first evening they attend. The annex building will open at 5:30. There is no charge to attend. Have your child bring a water bottle, wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.

NEW CUMBERLAND — Energy Express takes place June 17 to July 24 at Weirton Elementary and Oak Glen High School. (Closed on June 20 for WV Day and July 4th for Independence Day). Limited to 88 children who will be in Grades 1-6 or repeat Kindergarten in fall 2019. Transportation provided by the Board of Education. No cost to attend, but an application is required.

Hancock County 4-H Camp takes place July 16-20 at Tomlinson Run State Park in New Manchester. Cost is $140 per camper (space limited to 80 campers). Open to ages 9 (by Sept. 30, 2019) to 19.

Cloverbud Day for ages 5-8 takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 in the New Cumberland building. No charge to attend. Bring a packed lunch. Snack provided.
