Local authors invited to book signing event

EAST LIVERPOOL — Local authors, Steve Logston and John Smith (J.W. Kitson), have been invited to a book signing event from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 at the Settlers Ridge Barnes and Noble, 800 Settlers Ridge Center Drive, Robinson Township, Pa. This particular “Author Night” will feature several authors from the region. A group discussion, book signing and special announcement regarding ‘Song of the Tree Frogs’ will take place.

Logston’s second novel, ‘A Year of the Teacher’ was released by Austin Macauley Publishers based in London, UK. Logston grew up in Chester, W.Va. and now resides in Highlandtown, Ohio. His knowledge of teaching, music, and coaching aided immensely in developing the story. He previously had published a book, ‘Even Her Tears Were Yellow’, which detailed the story of his step-daughter, who passed away during a liver transplant in 2013. His latest novel is a fictional story which covers the life of the main character, Tony Stephens, for one year.

J. W. Kitson’s novel, ‘Song of the Tree Frogs,’ was released by Morgan James Publishing based in New York in April of 2018. The novel tells the story of two brothers trapped in the uncertain and hostile world of their sadistic father.

Song of the Tree Frogs realistically addresses difficult topics such as abuse and PTSD, while ultimately showing the importance of forgiving our past. Written from a faith-based perspective, the brothers’ journey demonstrates that love can truly endure all things.
