New York life has developed a grant for students who have lost a loved one which is called a bereavement grant. This grant is to be used for students who have suffered a loss of a loved one through death, separation, or any other reason. The money will be used to help these students deal with the grief that they face on a daily basis. Eric Brown, a Wellsville High School graduate who works for New York Life, discussed the grant with faculty and staff. He presented a check for $1,500 to the three building principals with each school receiving $500.
