Kent State EL recognizes PTA students

EAST LIVERPOOL — Kent State University at East Liverpool held a pinning ceremony for the students who met the requirements for the associate of applied science degree in physical therapist assistant technology for 2019. The ceremony marked the 30th anniversary of the PTA program on the East Liverpool Campus and each graduate received a commemorative stole to acknowledge the milestone.

During the ceremony, several students were recognized for academic and clinical excellence.

Avery McGuire received the Outstanding PTA Graduate award. Jordyn Midcap was recognized with the outstanding academic achievement award and Devan Houshour received the outstanding student service award.

Recognized for clinical distinction were Paige Bosworth, Tiffani Ross and Jordyn Midcap.

Additionally, four students were recognized for completing a 40-day challenge of committed studies throughout the clinical rotation.

They included Lacie Graham, Jordyn Midcap, Cassandra Weaver and Keith Dopp.
