EAST LIVERPOOL — The “Seasoned Saints” senior group met May 10 at the Second Baptist Church on Pennsylvania Ave. President Mary Carter opened the meeting and welcomed all. Jean Hanlon read the scripture, Psalm 33. Mrs. Carter gave the prayer and blessing.
After a delicious pot luck luncheon, Mrs. Donna Stevens gave a reading, “My Mother Grew a Garden” in honor of all the mothers.
Mrs. Geraldine Allen led the group in a game of “Family Feud”. The winning team consisted of Mary Lynne, Dan Hanlon, Jean Hanlon and Donna Stevens.
Cornelius Peachey won the “What’s Your Count” game.
Happy Birthday was sung by all to Nancy Smith, and she was given a gift.
Jean Hanlon won a gift for being the oldest mother.
Stevens dismissed the group in prayer. The next meeting will be Friday, June 14 at 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. It will be a Father’s Day celebration.
