NEW CUMBERLAND — A lesson on Appalachian Genealogy, presented by Doreen Jenkins of the Newview CEOS Club, takes place 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Hancock County Senior Center. The tracing of one’s family history is a popular hobby, much more than just numbers, dates, and places, it is a wonderful way to connect the generations. A light lunch served. The meetings and lessons are free to the public, but if you wish to join us for lunch, the regular Senior Center fee will apply.
