COLUMBIANA — Pastor’s Brunch: all Pastors in Columbiana County are invited to an information session about resources in Columbiana County, 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at Generation Coffee Shop, Main St. Columbiana, presented by the Consolation Group.

WELLSVILLE — A baked steak dinner served 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, state Route 45. Menu includes baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, dessert and drink. Cost is $9 adults and $4.50 children.

COLUMBIANA — Salem Regional medical Center’s Laboratory Services and Columbiana Family Care Center will host a comprehensive blood screening Nov. 17, at the Family Care Center, located in the Firestone Farms TownCenter, 116 Carriage Drive, Columbiana.

Comprehensive blood screenings can help to identify many health problems in their earliest stages, when they are most treatable, and may detect conditions such as high cholesterol, anemia, infections, diabetes and other disorders. Cost is $45. A prostate specific antigen test for an additional $12; or an HgA1c diabetes screen for $28. A lipid panel only, which measures cholesterol levels and is included in the comprehensive screening, is also available for $12.

LISBON — The Lisbon Lions Club will hold its annual Christmas auction at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the club, 38240 Industrial Park Road. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Gary French will serve as auctioneer. Among the items available include Christmas gifts for children and adults, toys, holiday decorations, etc. Food will be available for purchase in the kitchen. COLUMBIANA — The Way Station is accepting registrations for the Community Wide Thanksgiving dinner through Friday, Nov. 16. Calling ahead is essential to help prepare for the number of individuals that will be served. The dinner will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at The Upper Room Fellowship, 500 Sponseller Rd. EAST LIVERPOOL — The Beacon Association is hosting their annual Snow Queen and Snow King (ages 5-9); Jack Frost and Little Miss Snow Flake (ages 2-4) contest for donations for the upcoming Christmas Parade planned for Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. Winners will be determined by the most money donated for the Christmas Parade. Contestants for this contest will need to call Paula Vaughn at 330-853-8630 or send a private message through Facebook with child’s name, age, parents’ name, and address, by Friday, Nov. 16. Donation money needs to be dropped off to The Review Newspaper, 210 E. 4th Street by 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. Child’s name must be submitted on envelope when being dropped off with attention Paula Vaugh. Winners and parents will ride with Santa and his sleigh in the Christmas parade and announced at the Light Up Night event.
