Tops 1957

WELLSVILLE — TOPS 1957 of Wellsville met on Nov. 6 at the Living Well Church with leader Peggy Kiddey opening with pledges, roll call and then Terry Coen led the group in prayer.

TOPS best loser was Janice Monte,Kops best loser was Mary Jarvis and Kiddey wore the officers ribbon.Gladys Buzzard won the dimes,and Mary Schmidt was the monthly meet your goal weight winner.Barb Tranter won a snow globe that was donated by Mary Jarvis. Schmidt won the calorie chart drawing.

Schmidt and Barb M were wreaths made by Jarvis for being the winners of the Halloween contest.

The Nono for the week is chips and your favorite food.

The Christmas menu was decided and voted on by members.

Don’t forget to bring in your fall item next week.

Kiddey closed the meeting wishing all a good week.

McLain Circle

EAST LIVERPOOL — The McLain Circle of the Grace Presbyterian Church met on Nov. 5 at the home of Jane Rose.

The Bible study was “‘Serving Christ” from the Max Lucado study book.

Rose had the mission study. She read an article from “Mission Crossroads”. It told of a group called “Denise’s Big Back Yard” and how they helped the Guatemalan women and children with meals and Christian education when ICE went to the meat packing plant in Salem.

The Mission Yearbook of Prayer was given by Phyllis Conley. She reported on the work of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in the Homewood section of the city. They have shelters for the homeless and a food pantry called “House of Manna”.

Leah Bosco had the Fellowship of the Least Coin. Her article was “Healing Each Other” from the book of Ruth.

Plans were made to have devotions at the upcoming Presbyterian Women’s Christmas party.

The group will help pack boxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child project.

The next meeting will be in March at the home of Bosco.
