‘Stuff the Truck’ supplies donated to EL schools
EAST LIVERPOOL — Local Ford dealership, Tri State Ford, held a “Stuff the Truck” school supply drive throughout the month of August and recently donated the supplies to East Liverpool City Schools.
“Here at Tri State Ford, we are customer-focused and community-driven. Giving back to the community is very important to us,” said Don Maltarich, general manager of Tri State Ford. “Having the opportunity to help contribute to the school systems, the teachers and the kids in the area is a blessing, and we look forward in continuing to contribute in any way that we can.”
In a 4-week span, dozens of community members and businesses came to Tri State Ford, located in the East End of East Liverpool, to donate to the cause. Area businesses like Comcast and the Verizon store in Calcutta contributed many supplies, along with the East Liverpool Middle School cheerleading team and Point of Mercy Sanctuary and Point of Mercy Youth.
“The amount of donations we received was outstanding, and we were surprised of how much we actually obtained,” said Maltarich. “We can’t thank our contributors enough for helping us with this cause.”
“We would like to thank Tri State Ford and the community of East Liverpool for their contributions to our local schools,” said East Liverpool City School District Superintendent Randy Taylor. “The supplies donated will certainly go to good use.
