Columbiana County common pleas

Joseph J. DeSarro, 26, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to trafficking in drugs, tampering with evidence with a forfeiture specification and two counts of possession of drugs. On Sept. 28, 2017, DeSarro had five individual bags of cocaine, which appeared to be packaged for resale, and 1.94 grams of 3-methfentanyl, along with $2,769 in drug-related cash. Then on Oct. 25, 2017, DeSarro had .802 grams of 3-methylfentanyl and removed a baggie from his rear end and ingested the contents while in the back of an Ohio Highway Patrol cruiser. Sentencing is set for Dec. 19, when he faces up to six and a half years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

Dustin J. Martin, 32, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to having a weapon while under disability for a .380-caliber pistol in his possession on June 25, 2018, when he has previous convictions of five counts of burglary. He faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Jan. 9.
