Columbiana County Common Pleas
Timothy R. McCourt, 36, Empire, appeared in Common Pleas Court Friday for a probation violation hearing. McCourt had his probation dishonorably terminated and was sentenced to eight months in prison, but credited with 78 days already served. McCourt had been on probation after pleading guilty to misuse of a credit card after he had withdrawn $15,176 from the account of the Girls Scouts of Northeast Ohio, Salineville Troop, at various ATM machines starting in March 2014 through Aug. 8, 2014.
Chad A. Smith, 28, Spillway Road, Lisbon, stipulated to violating the terms of his intervention plan he had been placed on after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of drugs for having heroin and oxycodone on Aug. 5, 2016. His intervention plan will now continue.
Dakota L. Powell, 24, Boyce Avenue, Wellsville, was credited with 119 days served in jail for violating his community control from an unlawful sexual conduct with a minor charge he had pleaded guilty to in 2018. That charge was for having sex with a 15-year-old girl in Wellsville in June 2015. He was ordered to now remain on community control until June 2023.

Jennifer Lynn Burt, Grayson, Ky., and Tadley Dale Burt, Columbiana, dissolution granted.
