Columbiana County Municipal Court

Kaleb D. Brown, 19, Columbia Street, Leetonia, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in County Municipal Court for charges of burglary and receiving stolen property. He was bound over to the Common Pleas Court grand jury. Brown is accused of entering the home of Kevin McCormick, Main Street, Columbiana without permission on July 24 and having a pair of Nike Air Monarch shoes taken from that home on July 22.

James W. Andrews Jr., 28, Park Avenue, East Palestine, was sentenced to 10 days in jail, fined $1,800, had his license suspended for two years and required 60 hours community service for two counts of OVI first offense and one count each of failure to control, driving under suspension and speeding.

Gerald Eugene Marsden, 49, Cleveland Street, Salem, was fined $775, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, invalid sticker and marked lanes.

A Sept. 19 pretrial was set for Daniel Davis, 38, Scott Mill Road, Negley, cited with OVI first offense and driving under FRA suspension.

Jason C. Griffin, 34, North Elm Street, Columbiana, was sentenced to five days in jail, fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for endangering children for allegedly hitting a 2-year-old who soiled her pants during potty training leaving large red blisters on her buttocks on July 21.

Daniel S. Capalingo, 19, Market Street, Salineville, was credited with 16 days served in jail, sentenced to an additional 14 days in jail, fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for obstructing official business for telling police a runaway girl was not the person they were looking for on July 16.

Jaycent James Staats, 35, U.S. Route 30, East Rochester, was fined $230 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension, speeding and a seat belt violation.

A Sept. 24 pretrial was set for Deana Renee Ludt, 21, East Fourth Street, Salem, cited with wrongful entrustment.

Rudy Scott Lang, 23, Lincoln Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.

An Aug. 15 pretrial was set for Mark A. Conroy, 50, East Third Street, Salem, cited with criminal mischief for allegedly attempting to get into vehicles and sitting under a tree intoxicated in an East State Street parking lot on June 8.

An Aug. 15 pretrial was set for Justin M. Lamp, 40, Foundry Hill Road, Salineville, cited with criminal trespassing for walking around Brooke Lucas’ property on June 2.

Giovanni C. Centofanti, 19, Superior Avenue, Salem, was fined $360 for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, fictitious plates, invalid sticker and a seat belt violation.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Dakota D. Barber, 22, Burtview Drive, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.

An Aug. 20 pretrial was set for Logan Phillip Stewart, 23, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.

Raul Angel Bautista, 26, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $300 and required 40 hours community service for hit skip and left of center.

Logan Franklin Joseph McNicol, 20, Yeager Drive, Wellsville, was fined $200 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Logan Scott Daugherty, 24, Butcher Road, Leetonia, was fined $100 for possession of marijuana paraphernalia for a pipe.

An obstructing official business citation against Dorian T. Lowery, 43, Hawkins Road, New Waterford, was dismissed. Lowery had been accused of refusing to cooperate with East Palestine police asking for his name or identification at the Swift Mart in Unity Township on July 20.

A citation for violation of a temporary protection order was dismissed against Ryan P. Davis, 28, Youngstown, who had been accused of sending emails to Trace Johnson on March 30 and 31, after a protection order was issued on March 29.
