Lisbon Police Reports

Police were called to the 700 block of North Market Street in response to a loud music complaint at 10:34 a.m. Monday. The music was not loud, and the person agreed to keep it that way.

Police went to an apartment house in the 800 block of North Market Street at 10 a.m. Monday after receiving a complaint that a man there was making online threats. The man said he is schizophrenic and had become upset but would remove the post.

Police were called to the Fleming House at 10 p.m. Sunday in response to a 18-month-old child being locked in a vehicle. The officer was able to get the vehicle unlocked before anything happened to the child.

A woman reported a group of juveniles were near the pool and cursing at other people at 5:47 p.m. Sunday. Police did not find any juveniles about.

Sherry Jennings, North Market Street, reported at Monday a chainsaw was missing from behind her home.

Police received several calls about a possibly drunken man stumbling about at 12:22 p.m. Monday and that now he had fallen down in the alley between the Save A Lot and Smith Oil. Police recognized the man as Richard Vecchio, who was drunk and unable to stand or sit up. His knees and elbows were bleeding from the fall, so an ambulance was summoned to transport him to a local hospital. Vecchio was told he would also be cited for public intoxication.

A female motorist reported a young boy on a bicycle pulled out in front her on the Jackson Street bridge at 12:37 p.m. Monday and she nearly struck him. The woman followed the boy to a home on East Lincoln Way, and police went to the house and warned him about riding in the street without first looking both ways.The youth said he would be more careful.
