East Liverpool Police Reports

Police arrested two people at 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the first block of Riverview Street. Officers observed Marola Dobritz operating a vehicle despite knowledge that she was unlicensed and executed a traffic stop. Her passenger William Jacquet began arguing police and officers recovered a capped syringe in Jacquet’s right pocket and a tied up sandwich bag of marijuana also was discovered near where he had been seated. Jacquet was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and Dobritz driving under suspension.

Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Thompson Avenue at 7:07 p.m. Saturday for a welfare check.

Attempts to contact someone in the 1000 block of Huston Street at 5:05 p.m. Saturday also were unsuccessful; however, a couch was found in the front yard, boxes of clothes on the porch and a mattress on the side of the porch. The report was forwarded to Planning for further investigation into the condition of the property.

A male reportedly threatened another female at 10:20 p.m. Saturday in Dollar General, saying that she was lucky that he didn’t have his gun or he “would’ve blown (her) brains out.” She was advised to talk to the law director if she wished to file a menacing charge.
