A June 3 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set in county Municipal Court for Justin R. Barrett, 34, Laura Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly destroying a clear pipe with white residue in his vehicle and refused to cooperate with police during a traffic stop and refused to identify himself when Wellsville police were investigating reports that someone driving that vehicle were attempting to abduct a girl in the area on Monday. Additionally, he is facing misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and inducing panic.
A June 3 pretrial was set for Jeffrey J. Bryan, state Route 7, Lisbon, charged with inducing panic for allegedly telling police stopping him while investigating an alleged attempted abduction in the area of 16th Street and Commerce Street in Wellsville, that the female willingly got into the vehicle, but was no longer in the vehicle.
A June 3 pretrial was set for James R. Copeland, 34, Douglasville, Ga., cited with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct for refusing to calm down when police were speaking to him after someone reported him as suspicious person sneaking around a Wellsville neighborhood. Copeland then told police he did not have an ID and was from Delta Force. The Social Security number he provided did not come back to anyone and he allegedly began speaking in a foreign language after first speaking to police in English.
A June 3 pretrial was set for Charles M. Butler, 45, Youngstown, charged with OVI third offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, open container, left of center, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and a seat belt violation.
A July 18 pretrial was set for Andrew J. Shafer, 40, Shadylane, Lisbon, charged with OVI third offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, parking on the highway, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest for allegedly slamming his head into the partition in the patrol car and spitting throughout the interior of the vehicle on Saturday.
Robert A. Moore, 41, Toronto, waived his right to an extradition hearing so he can be returned to West Virginia where he is charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
A July 30 pretrial was set for Polly Johnston, 41, East Main Street, New Waterford, cited with OVI first offense and speeding.
A June 24 pretrial was set for Peter Tisler, 36, Medina, cited with OVI first offense and parking on the highway.
Marques M. Kimmie, 23, Cleveland, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for 24 days served for assault for injuring Nathaniel Mango while both were inmates in the county jail on May 5. The jail sentence is to be served concurrently with Kimmie’s sentence in Common Pleas Court.
Albert L. Nahar II, 39, Darlington, Pa., was fined $600 and credited with a day in jail for driving under suspension, left of center, a tail lights violation and fleeing and eluding for fleeing from East Palestine police into Pennsylvania on Jan. 23, 2007.
A July 11 pretrial was set for Johnathan Brletich, Sherman Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct for allegedly refusing to calm down and arguing with police investigating physical harm, which allegedly left marks on Brletich’s son’s face, arm and rib cage on Saturday.
Kenneth R. Combs, 51, Continental Drive, Salem, was credited with 14 days served in jail and fined $150 for assault for striking Mike Poisson in the side of the face during an argument on May 14.
A June 18 pretrial was set for Dalton J. Owens, 18, state Route 39, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business and criminal trespassing for allegedly fleeing from police, along with a child, onto the property of an American Electric Power substation in the 600 block of Water Street, Salineville.
Justin L. Burr, 25, 12th Street, Wellsville, was fined $300, required 25 hours community service and had his license suspended for drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.
Jason T. Fitzsimmons, 44, Woodville Road, Leetonia, was fined $200 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension and open container.
Scott A. Cunningham, 48, Brookfield Street, Lisbon, was fined $1,000 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension and turn signal required.
A domestic violence charge against Michael Gargano, 47, South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, was dismissed after a subpoenaed witness failed to appear.
Joseph R. Amos, 57, Toronto, was credited with two days served, sentenced to an additional day in jail, fined $300 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension and failure to control.
Christopher Austin Alexander Austin, 21, Walnut Ridge Road, Salineville, was fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Tyler J. Robinson, 22, North Walnut Street, East Palestine, was fined $200 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana and possession of hashish oil.
Paul D. Dabney Jr., 30, West Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Jack W. Meier Jr., 27, Waynewood Drive, New Waterford, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
A July 29 pretrial was set for Sara E. Armstead, 33, Fair Avenue, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.
Jason S. Hurford, 36, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $150 for speeding.
James L. Moffett Jr., 50, Youngstown, was fined $100 for a license plate light violation amended from speeding.
Juan Castro Ramirez, 19, West Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $80 for no license and a lane violation.
Francisco M. Francisco, 19, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $75 for wrongful entrustment.
Nicholas E. Toy, 38, North Lima, was fined $50 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.
Tyler C. Brooks, 24, Vine Street, Salem, was fined $50 for open container.
Dante Louis Corradi, 36, Midland Pa., was ordered to pay costs only for open container.
