A May 20 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set in County Municipal Court for John Wayne Chaffin, 30, state Route 154, Rogers, charged with a felony tampering with identifying numbers for an allegedly altered VIN plate on a vehicle and cited with driving under suspension, use of unauthorized plate, speeding, a seat belt violation and drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a rolled dollar bill with white powder residue.

Chelsea R. Faloba, 30, East Pine Lake Road, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business amended from aggravated robbery. Faloba allegedly attempted to take the backup magazine and tourniquet from a law enforcement officer’s vest on May 1. She also allegedly attacked Heidi M. Wilhelm, grabbing her by the hair, punching her in the face and back, as well as scratching her neck and arms.

A May 20 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Austin M. Boots, 21, Pinetree Circle, East Palestine, charged with trespassing in a habitation and criminal damaging for allegedly kicking a glass door, shattering it and damaging the screen at an East Friend Street, Columbiana, home of Eric Osberg on Monday, where Boots had reportedly first gotten through the back yard fence and was screaming someone was going to kill him.

A May 23 preliminary hearing was set for Dakota McCluskey, 27, no address on file, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly running from Salem police, refusing to stop when commanded to do so and running through yards before hiding in a creek bed on Sunday.

A June 18 pretrial was set for Frank W. Ketchum, 54, state Route 644, Salineville, charged with OVI third offense, failure to control and a seat belt violation.

A July 1 pretrial was set for Michael R. Tice Jr., 35, Mick Road, Wellsville, cited with OVI first offense and failure to display a valid sticker.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Dylan M. Conner, 27, Warren, cited with marked lanes, distracted driving and a seat belt violation. Conner was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer for allegedly throwing a note and his license out the window of his vehicle while he attempted to flee troopers from the Highway Patrol for about nine miles on May 4.

Kimberly I. Edie, 26, East State Street, Salem, was credited with 14 days served in jail, sentenced to an additional six days in jail, fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for assault for striking Ashley Carlariello, a fellow inmate at the county jail, several times on April 29.

Robin R. Stadtmiller, 53, Park Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $250 and credited with a day in jail for possession of a drug abuse instrument for a syringe in her believed to contain methamphetamines dissolved in water on March 2, following an open air sniff by K-9 Toney.

A June 18 pretrial was set for Derek R. Westover, 32, Fairmont Road, Elkton, cited with driving under suspension and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a crack pipe and an old tear off baggie in the vehicle, items found by K-9 Simon.

Candace L. Fraser, 30, South Howard Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $150 for obstructing official business for claiming to be her sister and providing a false date of birth on Sunday.

Michael A. Howell, 41, last known address Alden Avenue, Alliance, was credited with five days served in jail, sentenced to five days in jail and fined $150 for drug paraphernalia for a glass pipe on May 8.

A July 1 pretrial was set for Kevin S. Frazier, 37, Church Street, East Liverpool, cited with possessing drug abuse instrument for allegedly having used syringes in the vehicle on Saturday, which were found by K-9 Simon.

Brandie Jo Taylor, 49, Madison Avenue, Salineville, was fined $150, credited with a day in jail and required 40 hours community service for obstructing justice for allowing her son, Sheridan Taylor, to stay at her home when he had several arrest warrants.

A May 28 pretrial was set for Jessica L. Lasater, 31, Cunningham Road, Salem, cited with possession of drug abuse instruments and obstructing official business for allegedly giving police a false name and date of birth during a traffic stop, during which K-9 Argo reportedly found three hypodermic syringes in her purse in the trunk.

Cherie A. Jenkins Barcey, 39, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, was fined $200 for driving under suspension.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Norman D. Sleper, 52, last known address East Third Street, Salem, cited with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a filter to a crack pipe on May 10.

Robert L. Culp, 29, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $150, credited with two days served in jail and required 30 hours community service for obstructing official business for attempting to go back into his home on Sunday when police told him to stay outside.

Trever A. Webb, 28, Summit Street, Leetonia, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from failure to control.
