LISBON — In County Municipal Court, a May 13 preliminary hearing was set for Chelsea R. Faloba, 30, East Pine Lake Road, Salem, charged with aggravated robbery for allegedly attempting to take a back up magazine and tourniquet, which were right beside a folding knife, on the vest of a Perry Township police officer, detective Jordan Reynolds, on Wednesday.

A May 13 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Dylan M. Conner, 27, Warren, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and cited with OVI first offense, marked lanes, distracted driving and a seat belt violation. On May 4, he reportedly slowed his vehicle on U.S. Route 62 long enough to throw a license and a handwritten note out of his driver’s side window which stated “They’re following me, they’re going to kill me.” He then allegedly fled from the highway patrol troopers following him in marked vehicles for about nine miles.

A June 10 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Jonathan D. Harstine, 29, state Route 154, Lisbon, charged with improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, OVI first offense and failure to control. Harstine allegedly had a 9 millimeter Glock 19 semiautomatic firearm with a loaded magazine in the holster, but not in the firearm, sitting on the floor in the backseat of the vehicle.

A May 13 preliminary hearing was set for Richard Newlen, 35, last known address Avondale Street, East Liverpool, charged with failure to verify a change of address for allegedly telling deputies he would be living with Elizabeth Newlen on March 18, but never going to that home. Newlen is required to register his address following a 2013 conviction for gross sexual imposition.

Leroy J. Thomas, 60, Park Avenue, Salem, was fined $905, had his license suspended for two years, sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for OVI second offense and marked lanes.

A May 30 pretrial was set for David Scott VanHorn, 30, Morris Road, Lisbon, cited with failure to comply with a police order, OVI first offense, no license, traffic control device violation, open container and a turn signals violation.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Shawn K. Sangrelet, 49, Youngstown, cited with OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and speeding.

A June 17 pretrial was set for Ashlei R. Conkle, 24, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, cited with OVI first offense.

Taylor Huddleston, 27, Center Road, Alliance, was fined $250, had her license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for speeding and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Marki L. Dailey, 32, South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, was sentenced to 10 days in jail, fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for theft for shoplifting kitty litter and diapers from the Sparkle in Lisbon on Jan. 1.

David M. Sweat, 38, Sandusky, was fined $250, had his license suspended for 180 days, credited with five days in jail, sentenced to an additional five days in jail and required 20 hours community service for failure to yield, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia for multiple syringes and a metal spoon.

A June 6 pretrial was set for Daniel Yoder, 39, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, charged with assault for allegedly attacking Kester Young and scratching him in the face several times on Friday.

A June 4 pretrial was set for Benjamin R. Phillips, 44, Vine Street, Salem, charged with theft and criminal trespassing for allegedly taking a package addressed to Larry White, East State Street, Salem, and being at the property where he had been told by police not to return on Feb. 4.

A May 7 pretrial was set for Samantha R. Yocum, 25, West Main Street, Salineville, cited with falsification for allegedly reporting on April 27 she as being stalked and receiving unwanted texts and social media posts in an attempt to conceal a secret relationship with another person.

Daniel L. Roberts, 32, Apple Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with two days in jail, sentenced to an additional eight days in jail and required 40 hours community service for domestic violence for hitting Amanda Hartenstein in the face and holding her down by her throat on March 18.

Rosanna Byler, 28, Millrock Road, New Waterford, was fined $200, credited with three days in jail and required 40 hours community service for domestic violence for threatening to shoot her husband, Melvin Byler, before hitting him in the back of the head with a muck boot on Jan. 28.

James B. Miletta III, 43, East Sixth Street, Salem, was credited with eight days served in jail, sentenced to 172 additional days and fined $250 for domestic violence, a misdemeanor charge amended from a felony domestic violence charge. On April 28, Miletta choked Mary Farmer and punched her in the head.

A June 13 pretrial was set for Lori Baker, 53, Church Street, Salineville, cited with obstructing official business for allegedly allowing her son, who has warrants to be at her home for more than three hours on April 20, when she knows he has multiple warrants.

A June 11 pretrial was set for Melanie M. Felger, 46, Highland Avenue, Rogers, cited with criminal mischief for allegedly kicking the door of Kevin Weaver’s Ford Mustang on Wednesday, leaving a dent.

Clinton A. Scott III, 41, U.S. Route 62, Salem, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.

A May 13 pretrial was set for Brad W. Cutchall, 48, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, cited with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Cutchall allegedly was intoxicated, had thrown multiple items around the home damaging them and refused to cooperate with police attempting to take him into custody.

A May 28 pretrial was set for David R. Crowe III, 34, Saltwell Road, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.

Ronnie Eugene Colvin Jr., 39, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $200 for driving under suspension.

Jordon M. Strabala, 28, Westview Drive, Salem, was fined $400 and required 50 hours community service for possession of marijuana and criminal damaging for driving through wet cement and then over a curb, onto the sidewalk and around a road closed sign, while leaving cement in the grass. A restitution hearing was set for June 13.

A citation for expired license against Reece M. Kelly, 28, Lang Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed after he showed he now has a valid license and had insurance.
