Gregory Daniels, who lives in the Echo Dell Trailer Park, reported March 1 his parents’ trailer was broken into, and the flat screen TV was stolen from their bedroom.
Timothy R. Farner, 26, was cited for OVI after being notified by Calcutta Towing there was a running vehicle with front-end damaged sitting in the Curtis Automotive parking lot. Police arrived and determined the driver to be Farner, who said he was trying to get a tow after one of tires blew out while driving on Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road. Farner admitted having one beer earlier in the day but later failed the field sobriety tests and later tested 0.20 on the BAC. The legal limit is 0.08
Ashley D. Cox, 29, of New Waterford, was cited for driving left of center and possessing drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in Calcutta in 5:47 p.m. March 1. After it appeared Cox was under the influence, the K9 officer Nora was called to the scene and a crack pipe and digital scale were found in the vehicle.
Police were called to 49573-1/2 Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road on March 1 in regard to a stolen credit card.
Skyler M. Warren, 20, was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession following a traffic stop on Longs Church Road at 3:45 p.m. March 1. The officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle, which was driven by Mariah Betteridge, and Warren turned over a blunt from her coat pocket.
Davonte Gist was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession following a traffic stop on Sprucevale Road at 10:23 p.m. Saturday. The officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle and Gist turned over a marijuana cigarette after K9 officer Nora was deployed.
A motorist called at 7:43 p.m. Saturday to report almost hitting a man walking in the middle of state Route 267. Police found a man coming out of the Marathon gas station in Glenmoor and he was identified as Richard Fernandez, who said he walked there to get some cigarettes but denied walking in the roadway. Fernandez, 61, stumbled about, smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred. He was charged with public intoxication.
Linsday J. Beebout, 27, was charged Saturday with petty theft for shoplifting $210 worth of items from the JCPenney store and $90 in items from Walmart. She was also charged with with possessing criminal tools.
Veronica Rudder from Pizza Hut called Sunday about receiving threatening phone calls.
Chris L. Fabbro, Melbourne Avenue, reported Sunday receiving harassing and threatening phone calls.
Carey Bosworth, Echo Dell Trailer Park, reported Monday she and her family and her current boyfriend were being harassed by her ex-boyfriend. Bosworth also intends to look into obtaining a restraining order.
Richard L. Newlen, 34, was served with an arrest warrant out of the sheriff’s office following a traffic stop on Dresden Avenue on Monday. He was also charged with failure to use his turn signal and a stop sign violation.
n Kasie L. Sharps, 39, of East Liverpool, slid off the road while driving on Irish Ridge Road at 6:25 p.m. Sunday.
