Salineville Police Reports
On Monday Christina Coil, 40, West Main Street, was stopped for allegedly driving under the influence. She was taken to the highway patrol in Lisbon for testing and charged with OVI. Witnesses later told police they saw Coil passed out at the wheel earlier in the day at a local gas station.
A suspicious person was reported walking on state Route 164 at 12:46 a.m. Sunday. It was found to be Daniel Riggs, 41, who was walking with a foam disposable cup containing tea with alcohol. He was cited with an unlisted charge and taken to his home for his own safety.
Police stopped a vehicle on state Route 644 on Saturday for a brake light not functioning. The driver, Benjamin M. Cronin, 39, Jefferson Street, was cited with driving under suspension and malfunctioning brake light.
Following up on a noise complaint at a Mill Street home on Monday, police spoke to Cody Jones who said his neighbor upstairs, Scott Wallen had been noisy all day. Wallen claimed he had not been making any noise. Police asked him to try to keep it down.
Police provided chest compressions until first responders arrived at a Jefferson Street address on Sunday where there was an unresponsive female. First responders continued CPR until North Star EMS arrived and transported the woman to a local hospital.
An elderly man was reported experiencing extreme head pain at a Lincoln Street address on Sunday. Police and first responders helped until Lifeteam EMS came and transported him to Salem Regional Medical Center.
Robert Jason Bobby reported on Friday someone stole a hot water tank from the back yard of a home on West Main Street sometime between March 12 and then.
Misty Bidwell told police on March 10 a person she has a protection order against was at her parents’ home on Church Street and refused to leave. Police checked records, but did not find the civil protection order to be in place.
