The traffic stop occurred on Dresden Avenue at 8:06 p.m. Saturday, with driver Laura Beaver saying she had a valid license but did not have it on her. Police grabbed and handcuffed Cunningham to keep him from leaving the scene but then he threw himself onto the roadway and began throwing himself around and refused to get up. After police managed to get Cunningham to his feet, he refused to calm down and continued to flail about and yell. At one point, Cunningham threw his head toward an officer while yelling, with saliva flying out of his mouth toward the officer. Cunningham, was charged with obstructing police business, disorderly conduct and two counts of assault. Meanwhile, Beaver was cited for driving with a suspended license, and Greathouse admitted to smoking marijuana after it could be smelled in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle did not turn up any contraband.
