Renee and Rancy Murphy
LISBON – Renee Russell and Randy Murphy were united in marriage on Sept. 27, 2014 in an outdoor ceremony at the home of Les and Sally Braham, grandparents of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Robin Russell of Calcutta. The groom is the son of Randy and Debra Murphy of Lisbon.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Church, officiated the ceremony.
The bride wore an ivory taffeta, mermaid-style gown designed by Sophia Tolli, featuring a draped bodice and hand-beaded v-neckline with embroidered shoulder straps. The sheer back was adorned with crystals and beadwork.
The matron of honor was Melinda Dailey, of East Liverpool, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Sara Shallcross of Zanesville and Brittany Reese of Cranberry Township. The flower girl was Kristen Reese.
The best man was Eric Poynter of Austintown, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Luke Sprouse of Wellsville and Russell Paugh of Rogers. The ring bearer was Caleb Poynter, cousin of the groom. Eric Russell, brother of the bride, served as usher.
The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at Mark’s Landing. The reception was held at the American Legion Post 374 in East Liverpool.
The couple were 2009 graduates of Beaver Local High School. Renee graduated from the University of Mount Union in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is employed at Diebold, Incorporated as a corporate communications specialist. Randy attended Kent State University and is employed at Ergon-West Virginia, Inc. as a rotating equipment technician.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon at Walt Disney World and Cocoa Beach, Florida. They reside in Lisbon.
