McKinnons celebrate 70th anniversary
EAST LIVERPOOL – Eileen (Tuohy) and Jim McKinnon celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary with a surprise dinner, at the Olivia Banquet Center, hosted by their children.
Piper, Mark O’Connell, gave several selections on the pipes. Daughter, Tricia Cooper, read a tribute to her parents, following the Blessing, a champagne toast was given by son, DJ.
The McKinnons were married Oct. 7, 1944 at St. Mary’s Church, Penzance, Cornwall, England.
Jim served with the U.S. Navy, European Theater and retired from the East Liverpool School District, as Supervisor of Custodians, and a bus driver. Eileen served with the British Women’s Land Army, and is a retired LPN from East Liverpool City Hospital.
They have four children, Carol, Tricia, Michael and Dennis; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In honor of the couple, food staples were donated to F.I.S.H.
