CALCUTTA–The Lisbon baseball team broke open a close game with six seventh-inning runs to defeat Beaver Local 9-2 on Wednesday.
The Blue Devils improve to 6-7 overall.
Josh Entrikin had a double and three RBIs for the Blue Devils, while Nick Mundy had a pair of hits. Justin Sweeney pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief for the win.
Hunter Saltsman had two hits including a double for the Beavers. Michael Angew added a double and an RBI.
Lisbon hosts Toronto today.

WINTERSVILLE–The Oak Glen softball team surged past Indian Creek 10-7 Wednesday.
Lexi Andrews singled home the go-ahead run for the Golden Bears in the sixth inning. Janaya Montgomery also helped fuel Oak Glen with a sixth inning home run. Andrews and McKayla Goodlin each had three hits to lead the way. Hannah Walker and Aidan Hall each had two hits.

CALCUTTA–Carrollton scored two runs in the top of the seventh to slip past Beaver Local 8-7 on Wednesday.
Cierrah Thurik had two hits and an RBI for the Beavers (5-9) while Elizabeth Kolkowski had a triple and two RBIs. Alexis Jordan had two hits and an RBI.
The Beavers are at Wellsville today.

LISBON–The Lisbon softball team kept rolling with a 6-0 win over Toronto in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference action Wednesday.
The Blue Devils are now 13-0 overall and 10-0 in the EOAC.
Kaity Clark was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Lisbon, while Kenedy Vrable had a double and an RBI. Emma Thompson pitched seven shutout innings for the win.
