Beavers win 16th straight

CALCUTTA — Beaver Local moved to 16-0 with a 159-205 win over Crestview on Thursday at Beaver Meadows.

For the Beavers, Grant Hall had a 36, T.J. Wilson 38, Luke Eyester 39 and Orion Kolkowski 46.

For Crestview, Ethan McCloskey 40, Arianna Rodi 57, Emily Hill 51 and Matthew Wollet 57.

Beaver Local plays Crestview and Toronto on Wednesday at Meadows.

Toronto wins tri

TORONTO — The Toronto golf team topped Indian Creek and Oak Glen in a tri-match at Dyer Country Club Wednesday.

Cole Degarmo of the Red Knights and the Redskins Josh Speaker were co-medalists with 39’s.

Toronto finished with a team score of 169 and also got 43’s from Hunter Keenan and Brennan Suffoletta, and a 44 from Andre Roach.

Indian Creek had a team score 174. Justice Morris had a 42, Noah Corella shot a 43 and Jake Everhart a 50.

Oak Glen finished with a 197. Josh Cline had a 41, Jacob Gittings a 43, Aidan Hall a 56 and Caleb Cline a 57.

Marlington 168, Salem 201

SALEM–The Salem boys golf team fell to Marlington 168-201 Thursday at Salem Hills.

The Quakers are now 3-8 overall and 2-7 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

For Salem, Kaleb Day and Lane Rhodes each shot 48, while Logan Zimmerman added a 50 and Mike Kidd shot a 55.

The Quakers are back in action Tuesday in the EBC Tournament at Zoar Golf Course.
