Taylor scores 19 in victory

NEW MANCHESTER, W. Va. — Kierra Taylor tallied 19 points and Jenna Riccardo tossed in 18 more as Beaver Local clipped Oak Glen 60-54 on Thursday night.

Beaver Local moved to 10-7 on the season, while Oak Glen fell to 5-15.

Madison Cline aided the Beavers effort with 14 points.

Oak Glen (5-15) was led by Maggie Kovalcik’s 14 points. Reece Enochs backed her up with 13.

Oak Glen won the two quarter jayvee game, 24-10. Rory McNutt had six points for the Bears.

WELLSVILLE –Izzy Perez tallied 23 points and Maddie Liberati added 13 more as Lisbon downed Wellsville 60-28 on Thursday in an Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference game.

Lisbon is 11-6 and 10-3 in the league, while Wellsville falls to 2-18, 0-13.

Liberati also had nine rebounds, while Perez had seven rebounds, six assists and 11 steals. Autumn Oehlstrom had eight rebounds.

Menina Jackson led the Tigers with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Wellsville is at Toronto on Monday.

Lisbon hosts Malvern on Saturday.

Lisbon won the jayvee game, 50-17. Corinne Freeman had 19 points for the Devils.

HANOVERTON — East Palestine had a balanced attack as it took down United 45-36 on Thursday in an Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference game.

Brysten Trosky and Jaliyah Mixon had eight points each for the Bulldogs who had four other players score at least six points.

United (10-9, 8-5) got eight points from Cameron Pierson. Hannah Mix had six points, five steals and five rebounds.

United’s jayvees won 37-23. Kyleigh Daggy had nine points for United. Morgan Briceland added eight points.

United is at Western Reserve on Monday.
